What is Eighternity?
Eighternity is the next generation of the round diamond that exhibits visual qualities superior to standard round brilliants, while maintaining a distinctly different appearance.
The Eighternity takes the technique of cutting a diamond to the next level. Every diamond is cut with the intention of maximizing the return of white light (brilliance, brightness), color light (dispersion) and scintillation (sparkle). This directly relates to the beauty of the diamond, and is apparent even across a dimly lit room.

The New Evolution in Diamonds:
In the year 2003, a master cutter from Israel finally perfected a more beautiful diamond than the ideal cut diamond.
He designed a diamond with 81 facets – a cut that was not only the same diameter and weight as the American Ideal, but also showed a substantially higher light return.
It’s name: Eighternity (pronounced "eight-er-nity").
The 81 facet Eighternity is the ultimate art of cutting a round diamond. Every facet is scientifically aligned to achieve the most white light (brightness), color light (dispersion) and scintillation (sparkle) from the stone. These three factors dramatically enhance the beauty of the diamond.

In the cut of a fine diamond, the number of its facets is only part of the story. Equally important are the stone’s balance and proportions. If the facets are not precisely placed at the proper distances and angles, light either passes directly through the stone or is deflected out the sides – not sent up to the viewer’s eye. Eighternity diamonds are evaluated by the Gem Trade Labs of the Gemological Institute of America, respected worldwide for the rigorous and conservative nature of their grading system. Included is a certification of your diamond according to the industry’s "Four C’s" – cut, color, clarity, and carat size. Eighternity diamonds consistently receive superior scores for both polish & symmetry.
Additionally, with every Eighternity diamond you purchase, you also receive a "Light Performance" evaluation from GemEx Systems. Included in the evaluation is an individual Brilliance Scope report on your Eighternity diamond, measuring its brightness, dispersion ("fire") and scintillation ("sparkle").
